Speaking on Viewpoint, the President of the Gibraltar General and Clerical Association, Darren Cerisola, confirmed his union’s pay claim for the Civil Service is for an average of 15% over three years.
The GGCA has submitted three options to the Government which it believes strikes a balance between ensuring a meaningful and significant pay adjustment for its members while also considering the impact on the public purse.
Details of the claim as follows:
- Outright 14.1% increase
- 7% , 5% , 3% (15% over 3 years)
- 8%,7% (15% in 2 years) (then on third year 3% or RPI whichever is higher )
The GGCA says if accepted, it will, over the next three years, make significant progress in addressing members’ cost of living concerns while also substantially easing the financial burden on the public sector.
